Course Objective

To introduce philosophical approaches which are effective in religious education. To show some philosophical debates on knowledge and reality in philosophy of religious education. Study philosophical background of religious education models.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students understand the philosophical approaches that are effective in religious education
2   Students will learn the current debates in the philosophy of religious education.
3   Students will understand the basic assumptions of the critical-realist philosophy of religious education and their implications of the educational process.
4   Students can compare philosophical foundations of religious education models
