Course Objective

To teach modern theories of understanding and interpretation and to show how to apply them in religious studies and texts.

1   They will learn modern theories of understanding and interpretation.
2   They will see how they are conducted in religious studies.
3   They will read religious texts with theories of understanding and interpretation.
4   They will meet prominent sociologists in hermeneutics.
5   They will understand methodologies and techniques in hermeneutics.
