Course Objective

Provide the students with basic concepts and principals of general linguistics and make them bring forward proposals about how to use these in French language teaching.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to understand the basic concepts and principals of general linguistics.
2   Being able to understand the basic concepts and principals that the structuralist linguistics suggests.
3   Being able to examine how to apply the linguistic facts, that the structuralist linguistics suggests, to the French language teaching.
4   Being able to examine how to use the sub-branches of linguistics, such as morphology, syntax, pragmatics, etc. in foreign language teaching.
5   Being able to examine how to use the sub-branches of linguistics, such as morphology, syntax, pragmatics, etc. in French language teaching.
6   Being able to understand the difference of linguistics among other suggested point of views.
