Course Objective

General information has given about properties and structures of solid crystals, characterization of crystal structures and some group B elements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Describe solid types, crystal systems and general properties.
2   Produce a presentation about interaction between particles , bond types, molecular/covalent/ionic/metallic crystals, alloys and properties
3   Draw geometric structures of crystal systems and derived structures from them
4   Present a talk about habitus, formation of twins, polymorphism, allotropy, isomorphism
5   Present a talk about classification and properties of oxides/mixed oxides
