Course Objective

This course is designed to develop critical thinking and eye on messages television, video, cinema, internet or media has. It aims to take a critical stance on influence of the messages on individuals and communities.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognize the variety of communication and realize its items
2   Recognize the mass media
3   Understand mass media s development and effects on the process of history.
4   Analyse the effect of media on the society and individual.
5   Gain students the skills of analysis, synthesis, assesment and transmissionof mesages and knowledge and gain students critical perspective towards press.
6   Understand the importance of media literacy.
