Course Objective

To teach development of Turkish culture and civilization in history.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to comprehend sense of art and development of art in Turkish culture
2   Ability to comprehend traditional arts (calligraphy, miniature craft, marbling art, etc.), and relations between them.
3   Ability to identify architecture, music and painting with their distinctive feature.
4   Ability to comprehend importance of traditional theater (Karagoz, puppets etc.) and modern theater.
5   Ability to evaluate different types of Turkish artworks.
