Course Objective

The aim of this course to give information about the need for translation in media, text types and their characteristics. Students will develop their skills and gain experience in the translation of press texts by looking into selected texts.

1. 70 % class attendance is required.
2.. Students should deliver their homework assignments on time. Being absent is not considered an excuse.
3.. Assesments will include the midterm and final exams and homework assignments.
4. Students should bring their dictionaries to class. Students should use their own dictionaries during the exams. Cell phones are not allowed.
