Course Objective

The aim of this course to give information about the need for translation in media, text types and their characteristics. Students will develop their skills and gain experience in the translation of press texts by looking into selected texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students learn about media organs and legal procedures and legislations in Turkey and Germany,
2   They develop awareness about the need for translation in media and job opportunities,
3   They learn the text types and their characteristics in media,
4   They are able to solve the problems in the translation of press texts,
5   They develop their skills and gain experience in the translation of press texts.
