Course Objective

This course aims to make sure that students acquire knowledge and skills with which they can plan and conduct a terminology project from beginning to end.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to understand different stages of terminology management process, distinguish from each other and identify them.
2   Students will know and implement the standards related to the quality of terminology management projects.
3   Students will know the functions of terminology management tools and how to use them and also will be able to use them successfully.
4   Students will understand and identify different people participating in terminology management process.
5   Students will be able to prepare a well-qualified terminology entry and make definitions.

Project assignments will be given during the semester. In addition, students will also be assessed on the basis of attendance and participation.

Assessment Criteria

1. Learning Outcomes 1-5 will be assessed as per 30% homework assignments/ projects and participation;
2. Learning Outcomes 1-3 will be assessed in midterm exam;
3. Learning Outcomes 4-5 will be assessed in final exam.

1. 70 % class attendance is required.
2. Absence will not be regarded as a rationale for late submission of assignments.
3. The midterm exam, homework assignments, class work and participation in final activities will be taken into consideration during assessment.
