Course Objective

The objective of this course is, to make students be capable of English terminology about fundamental rights and freedoms, to make them understand and discuss the decisions of European Court Of Human Rights.

2   To express the English documents about fundamental rights and freedoms
3   To analyse the decisions of European Court Of Human Rights
4   To evaluate about fundamental rights and freedoms

1 Teaching the basic concepts about fundamental rights and freedoms (Introduction)
2 Text translation about the general theory of fundamental right
3 Text translation about the types of fundamental rights and freedoms
4 Text translation about the progress of fundamental rights and freedoms
5 Teaching the terminology about spesific fundamental rights and freedoms
6 Terminology and text translation about the national dimension of fundamental rights and freedoms
7 Text translation about the international dimensions of fundamental rights and freedoms

9 Teaching the terminology about Convention of the European Court Of Human Rights
10 Text translation about the characteristic of European Convention on Human Rights
11 Teaching the terminology about rights in European Convention on Human Rights
12 Text translation about rights in European Convention on Human Rights (individual rights)
13 Text translation about rights in European Convention on Human Rights (political rights )
14 Text translation about rights in European Convention on Human Rights (about personal rights)

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Teaching the legal terms about fundamental rights and freedoms, reading and understanding the documents about fundamental rights and freedoms and the decisions of European Court Of Human Rights and translating English to Turkish.
