Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide the students with a general evaluation of hearing, and comprehension of responsibilities of audiological technicians.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Describes a suitable environment in which pure tone audiometry test is performed.
2   Performs and demostrates pure tone audiometry
3   Determines type and amount of hearing loss.
4   Relates the result of pure tone audiometry test and tuning fork tests.
5   Describes which masking noise is used, the fundamental knowledge and rules of masking, and when to perform masking in pure tone audiometry test.
