Course Objective

To help students in getting knowledge about Isharî/Mystic Tafsîr which is accepted as one of the main Tafsîr movements. And one of the main representatives of this movement, Kushayrî, and his tafsîr will be thought with example texts. And by this, they will be able to see the relation between tasavvuf(Sufism) and Tafsîr.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They will have information about the definition and contents of Isharî Tafsîr.
2   They will be able to put their opinion about Ta wil and its kinds.
3   They will information about Kushayrî s life and the environment that he grows up.
4   They will be able to filter the mystical meanings of the verses that he stated in his
5   They will be able to differentiate how a proper mystical Tafsîr would approach the verses.

6 General look on Lataifu l- Isharât.
7 Surat al-Fatiha in Lataifu l- Isharât
8 Surat al-Ihlas in Lataifu l- Isharât
9 Surat al-Kawsar in Lataifu l- Isharât
10 First verses of surat al-Baqara in Lataifu l- Isharât
11 General look on some verses related to Salaat in Lataifu l- Isharât
