Course Objective

In this course,concept of health and sickness, disease etiology,epidemiology,health services interms of basic principles of diseases,systems and diseases,nuritional health,definition of sterilization,disinfection,antisepsis,asepsis, nosocomial infections,routes of transmission and prevention,occupatıonal health and medical waste management related knowledge, skills and competencies intended to gain.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define th basic definitions and concepts related to health. 2   Define th criteria which effect health. 3   Discuss the effects of biological health to mental health and lifestyle. 4   Defie healthy nurirtion and basic principles of maintaining healthy nutrition 5   Discuss the policies of sexual health, reproductive health concept and skope 6   Explain te routes of transmission and prevention of infectious diseases. 7   Definitions and concepts of hospital infections and risk factors and explain how to avoid tese infections. 8   Discuss the concepts of disinfection, sterilization and their applications. 9   Discuss the concept os enviromental and factors affecting it 10   Define enviromental services and how they work
