Course Objective

Aim of this course is to explain and to understand safety and security management systems. To explain safety and security terms and their differences, risk factors and definition of risk factors, prevention of dangers. To give information about ISM system and ISPS Code in maritime sector. Practices for safety and security system development.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Definition of technical management information related with the safety and security system in marinas risk management process.
2   To combine management, safety and security terms on the scope of responsibilities and authorities for marina managers
3   To examine safety and security systems in the world and Turkey marinas.
4   To analyse safety and security risks
5   Evaluation of safety and security systems in marinas
