Course Objective

The main purpose of this lesson is to teach the students the general principles, sources and the assocations of the maritime law and to give a view of solving the disputes arising on national and international level of maritime law.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to describe the basic principles, sources and associations of maritime law.
2   To be able to describe the rights and duties in maritime law
3   To be able to distinguish the different types of the ship and the elements to be called as a ship
4   To be able to distinguish the maritime commercial contracts
5   To be able to list the regulations regarding maritime law in national and international level.
6   To be able to analyse the disputes which may arise in maritime law and to be able to have a view to solve those disputes.
