Course Objective

The purpose of this course is teach and discuss in acomparative manner the
civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt and Anatolia from the Dark Ages until to Late
Antiquity according to data from archaeological and historical sources.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students acquire knowledge on Mesopotamian, Egyptian and Anatolian civilizations in a comparative manner from Dark Sges until the Late Antiquity
2   Students recognize the sylistic characteristics of Mesopotamian Art
3   Students learn about the historical geography of Mesopotamia
4   Students become familiar with the literature on the subject and use them in their
