Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the development phases of Anatolian civilizations from Dark Ages to Early Roman Period under the light shed by archaeological and historical data.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students acquire knowledge about the Dark Ages and the Iron Age of Anataolia in a comparative manner.
2   Students recognize the stylistic characteristics of Anatolian Art.
3   Students recognize the historical geography of Anatolia
4   Students learn the literature on the subject and use them in their research
5   Students acquire a historical perspective of Anatolia
