Course Objective

This course purposes to bring students methods of developing web applications using Spatial Information Systems

Week Subject Description 1 Introduction to Spatial web Applications:System analysis and appropriate layer architecture. 2 Spatial web Applications Technologies:POSTGIS Database,GEOSERVER map server,JAVASCRIPT,PHP web programming languages and APACHE web server. 3 Explaining the structure of Spatial data 4 Loading Spatial data from Spatial database to map server 5 Adjusting styles of layers 6 Designing website according to business model 7 Adding maps to website 8 Mid-Term 9 Mid-Term 10 Building queries aimed at users and admins 11 Updating Spatial data 12 Spatial database management with PHP 13 Preparing forms 14 Current issues with web applications
