Course Objective

The aim of this course is to analyze the language of journalism both in English and Turkish, to explore the differences in language usage, to follow the current written media texts and to practice translating from English to Turkish or vice versa.

1. LO 1-7: 40 % Research papers and class participation
2. LO 1-7: 30 % midterm exam (questions about the related texts and questions to test knowledge will be asked for assessment)

1. 70 % class attendance is required.
2. Students should deliver their homework assignments on time. Being absent is not considered an excuse.
3. Assesments will include the midterm and final exams and homework assignments.
