Course Objective

The aim of this course is to acquire the basic skills of sight interpreting as a an introduction to simultaneous and consecutive interpretation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   List and describe various strategies of interpreting.
2   Able to acquire the basic skils for fast and effective reading and apply them in translation situations.
3   Prepare specialized terminology and utilize them in sight translation practices.
4   Develop awareness for their passive knowledge in various fields and utilize this knowledge in actual translation situations.
5   Develop a deeper awareness of the practical searching tecniques and find solutions for interpreting problems in the field.
