Course Objective

This module introduces students research facilities available at the university, in other libraries and on the internet. The aim of the course is to develop understanding of tools, techniques and methods applicable to research and advanced scholarship in translation studies in order to prepare students for the dissertation.

1   Students understand the major research methods and techniques in translation studies
2   They recognise the different stages of the research process.
3   They appropriately apply method of analysis in examining translation issues
4   They understand the importance of ethical practice in research development, collection, and analysis
5   They design and carry out an independent research project.
