Governance
The President is responsible for the improvement and efficient utilization of education facilities, as well as having the authority to provide necessary social services to students, make decisions regarding security when required. The president also ensures that educational and academic research publications are planned and executed according to the state development plan guidelines and targets. Academic and administrative supervision and auditing are delegated to lower administrative bodies, though the responsibility of following up and controlling these bodies, with the aim of accomplishing favourable results, remains ultimately in the president’s hands.
The Senate is comprised of the rector, vice rectors, deans, elected members (academics chosen by the faculty boards for a 3 year period) and directors of schools, graduate schools and institutes.
University Administrative Board is comprised of the rector, deans and 3 elected professors. These professors are chosen by the senate as representatives of the various educational facilities and areas of the university for a 4 year period.Prof. Dr. Erdal ÇELİK
