ECTS Credit Allocation

The ECTS credits of the compulsory and elective courses in Dokuz Eylul University are determined by an evaluation of the theoretical/ applied training involved, as well as laboratory training, semester projects, workshops, diploma studies, and any other practical training formimg the workload undertaken by students during the pursuit of their education.

The student work load covers all the time that the students spend during course time - workshops, clinical training, assignments, presentations, exam preparations, exams, workplace training - briefly, all the activities for the course. At Dokuz Eylul University, 1 ECTS credit is calculated on basis of 25 hours of workload for the student. The total course and training credits are equal to 30 ECTS credits per semester and 60 ECTS credits for the whole academic year.
