Course Objective

To combine theatrical narrative forms performed during to phase of stage designing education with present digital effect technologies, integrate theatrical narrative language in to cinematographic narrative digital technologies and pave the way for contemporary new thinking formation and experimental esthetical presentation aimed at stage design.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Develop new ideas sketch, maquette, décor studies by combining stage design knowledge with cinematographic narrative techniques based on digital technology.
2   Have technical terminology of related issues.
3   Transfer 3D mapping projection and holographic imaging technologies to staging process.
4   Gain theatrical knowledge to discuss and question new esthetical approaches based on stage designing technology in form and essence.
5   Create and discuss ideas on esthetical preferance and perception from transferring visual digital effects in cinematographic narration to staging process.
6   Follow technological and esthetical developments related to lecture and use them in researches and assignments expected from her/him.

3 Fiber Optic Techonology
4 Discussion of performing examples in stage design of fiber optic technology
5 Laser technology
6 Discussion of performing examples in stage design of laser technology
7 Mid-term exam
8 Discussion of performing examples in stage design and led light technology
9 Discussion of performing examples in stage design and projection technology
10 Discussion of performing examples in stage design and holographic imaging technology
11 3D Mapping Projection Technology
12 Application of works produced based on 3D Mapping Technology to maquette process.
13 Application of works produced based on 3D Mapping Technology on stage process.
14 Final exam.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

In course; the teorical knowledge will be given by sharing of lecture notes, scientific and artistic researches which on the subject, native or foreign language bibliographies which connected on the subject directly or indirectly. Also experimental stage studies will be made. Feedback will be provided by assignments and exams and will be evaluated.

All type of plagiarism are to be penalised by disciplinary board.
Not having participated in course and late delivery of projects and assignments will not be justied as excuses.
Late delivery of project will be considered to be reduction of point per every day.
