To give students the ability to use basic information regarding notes, rhythms and measures.

1   Name and recognize notes on treble clef.
2   Write notes on treble clef.
3   Name and sing whole, half, quarter notes.
4   Explain basic concepts regarding simple meters.
5   Write one-voice melodic dictation eight measures in length.
