Course Objective

Create mathematical foundations of probability and teach concepts of probability that make up the theoretical background of statistics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can have information concerning the probability concepts,
2   May become ready to learn statistical concepts,
3   Can apply concepts to problems related to probability
4   Can categorize discrete and continuous distributions and apply problems
5   Can apply concepts and information acquired in real-life problems and evaluate the results
6   Can explain the knowledge acquired and conclusions by correct use of language in a discipline.

12 Moments, Moment Generating Function
13 Some discrete distributions (Bernoulli, Binomial, Geometric, Hypergeometric, Poisson) and their properties
14 Some continuous distributions (Normal, Exponential) and their properties
15 Final Exam
