Course Objective

Explaining basic terms of literature and researching them on literary texts.

1   Explain art, literature, poem, story etc. literary notions and terms.
2   Develop themself in the terms of enjoyment of literature.
3   Increase knowledge of Turkish literature.
4   Compare literary notions.
5   They know the literary arts.

2 A general approach to the literary currents, general features of classicism and sample texts
3 General features of romanticism and realism and sample texts
4 General features of naturalism, parnacism and symbolism and sample texts
5 General features of impressionism, cubism and futurism and sample texts
6 General features of dadaism, surrealism and existentialism and sample texts
7 General features of postmodernism and sample texts, comparison of literary currents
8 general repeat, evaluation, Midterm exam
9 An overview of theories of literary
10 General features of expressivty and sample texts
11 General features of Reception Aesthetics formalism and structuralism and sample texts
12 General features of Reception Aesthetics, formalism and structuralism and sample texts
