Course Objective

The aim is for the students to learn the general characteristics of lighting eqipments, its differences from other historical periods and its typology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   examine ancient lighting systems in general2. comprehend the characteristics of other period buildings which influenced the architecture of the Hellenistic Period
2   recognize the lighting tools uncovered in excavations and exhibited in the museum
3   specify these techniques as knowledge of construction techniques of lamps
4   understand the periodic differences of terracotta lamps
5   drawing oil lamps
6   Describe the history of the lamps
