Course Objective

To teach historical development, major faiths and practices of Judaism and Christianity; thus to give ability of make proper comparisons between Islam and its relations to these religions; to ensure make true assessments on the cases and debates about religions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn historical development and major features of Judaism and Christianity
2   Perceive nature of relations between these religions from history to up to date
3   Perceive what the term Ahl al Kitab means in Islamic tradition;
4   Grasp origins, main features and historical developments of New Religious Movements
5   Learn similarities and differences between Abrahamic religions
