Course Objective

To present social dialogue's importance in terms of work peace and social reconciliation with its historical development; to introduce actors and institutional structures related with social dialogue; to open to discussion social dialogue levels and methods; to convey theoretical framework and methods for workers' participation in management; to make students able to research and evaluate practical models in Turkey and in the World.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain concepts of social dialogue, work peace, social reconciliation and industrial democracy and their functions
2   To be able to analyze and interpret social dialogue's historical development
3   To be able to define and associate social dialogue mechanisms and institutional structures in practice
4   To be able to discuss and analyse national and international practices
5   To be able to justify participation in management, to discuss its necessity, to explain its methods
6   To be able to research and discuss participation in management methods
7   To be able to evaluate social dialogue's future in changing conditions
