Course Objective

The aim of this course is to analyze the interaction between trade unions and political institutions in the context of different ideologies and in different state systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To introduce the basic concepts of political science and trade unionism (1,4)
2   To examine the different political ideologies and doctrines of (1,2, 4)
3   To evaluate trade unionism in different political systems, (1,2, 4)
4   To evaluate the role of trade unions as a political actors (1,4)
5   To Analyze the relationship between trade union and political parties in different countries and Turkey (1, 2, 4,12)

12 To compare the trade unions and other pressure groups (NGOs)
13 Relationship between political parties and trade unions in some countries examples
