Course Objective

In the course, the design and analysis of slab and foundation systems will be explained.The section design of slab and foundation systems will be given according to the ultimate state design. Reinforcement will be calculated and chosen using the calculation and code requirements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Determination of loads in the design of slab and foundations
2   Design of slab and foundation systems according to the code requirements
3   Formation of mathematical models of slab and foundations and creating the design concept
4   Reinforced concrete calculation of slab and foundations according to the ultimate state design
5   Formation of reinforcement and formwork plan drawings for slab and foundation systems

7 Analysis and RC design of two way ribbed slabs
8 RC footing systems, analysis and RC design of wall footings
9 RC design of single footings
10 RC design of single footings (continuance)
11 Mid Term Exam
12 Analysis and RC design of one way continuous footings
13 Analysis and RC design of two way continuous footings
14 Analysis and RC design of raft foundation systems
