Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to allow students to understand the importance of scientific research in the profession of nursing and ethical principals of research and gain the basic knowledge and skills for critically evaluating researches, participating in research process and using research results in order to improve nursing care.

2   The student can explain the role and responsibilities of nurses in research.
3   The student can identify the basic steps of research process.
4   The student can use the ways of reaching professional and scientific information.
5   The student can explain research types and their characteristics.
6   The student can explain the assumptions of basic significance tests.
7   The student can evaluate research papers in accordance with basic principals.
8   The student knows the ethical principles of research.
