Course Objective

To enable the students to learn and evaluate how a competition policy should be developed and how competition strategies should be founded at the level of firm and national economy, in terms of an efficient market system.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand the presence and significance of competition policy as a dimension of general economic policy.
2   To be able to learn the competition policy s planks and processing in the EU and the USA.
3   To be able to understand and assess the competition policy s formation and development in Turkey.
4   To be able to understand and assess transnational corporations and global production network with regard to global economy.
5   To be able to assess firms and national economies competition strategies in terms of global economic relations.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

To explain the theoretical approaches for assessing competition policy and strategies at macro level in accordance with the basic references and articles, and to enable the students to undertake researches on the cases and institutions and to discuss them.
