Course Objective

Theoretical knowledge of the economics of agriculture and agricultural policy, evaluation of applications in the size of tool and purpose

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to to understand the role and importance of the agricultural sector in the economy
2   To be able to analyze that sub-branches of the agricultural sector and conditions of production in the sector to make a comparative analysis with the other sectors.
3   To be able to learn purpose and tools of agricultural policies how to use these
4   To be able to understand importance of agriculture as economically, social and cultural in Turkey
5   To be able to learn agriculturel policies in Turkey with results

5 Evaluation of agricultural policies that implemented in Turkey
6 Agriculture in The world economy and trade
7 Globalization and Agriculture (WTO agriculture agreement and its effects)
8 EU agricultural policies and the reform process
9 EU agricultural policies and the reform process
10 EU-Turkey relations in the agriculture (CAP compliance of Turkey)
11 The current developments in agriculture I (global climate change and its consequences, and the effects of genetically modified organisms)
12 The current developments in agriculture II (GAP, KOP, and the effects of EAP Projects)
13 Discussions on the future of agriculture in Turkey's economy
14 Discussions on the future of agriculture in the world economy
