Course Objective

The main purpose of this course is to achieve a necessary understanding of the scope and sources of prehistory, the important centers of Mediterranean civilizations (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece/Helen, Rome, etc.), the civilizations founded in Anatolia, and the other ancient civilizations, and the effect of the prehistoric civilizations on the development of humankind. The importance and methodology of prehistory will be discussed.
