Course Objective

This course is planned as the introduction to graphic design and aimed to give specific knowledge about visual communication and its basic concepts. Class analyses will be focus on images created by students, in terms of visual meaning.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have knowledge about graphic design and its influences.
2   To define specific framing on images for controlling the meaning.
3   To have benefits of symbols and symbolic meanings.
4   To manage relationships between meaning and modification of framing .
5   To have quality look upon seeing and perception.
6   To have ability to complete sketches for the final project.
7   To have ability to present and explain projects.
8   To have knowledge about communication mediums.
