Course Objective

This lecture provides the student to be able to discuss musical concepts and terminology within various contexts by considering the relevant varibales and thus prepares the student to be able analyse audio and video samples by the gained background.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The lecture is given by reviewing the musical genre classifications and defining the criteria of musical genre classification based on various audio samples. Therefore audio and video samples are analysed.
