Course Objective

Alternative recycling in the development of environmental friendliness and sustainability. To question the design and production functions of ecological techniques in the framework of recycling and social responsibility of environmentally friendly production techniques and creative works.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define recycling and recovery applications and their current usage
2   To be able to demonstrate the possibilities of recycling and recycling of all kinds of waste materials used in textiles and textiles, used garments and accessories with creative textile design applications
3   Being able to comprehend sustainability, environmentalist approach
4   To be able to define techniques applied by artists / designers exhibiting recycling and recovery fashion approaches in textile design
5   To be able to make experimental and creative and new perspectives developing by evaluating finds and waste materials in business / workshop conditions
6   To be able to use an integrative approach in the process of recycling different environmental materials and production methods

1 Explanation of environment friendly, sustainability, green design and production concepts
2 Recycling and recycling applications and research of today's applications
3 Investigating waste garments and materials that are believed to have occupied their life span and exploring their recycling and recovery possibilities in the process of creative textile design
4 Evaluation of domestic and organic waste or other value added dying / printing applications during recovery processes
5 Evaluation of current artists / designers and recycling and recovery practices in different cultures
6 Experimentally working on different fabrics in accordance with ecologically suitable techniques or clothing, materials etc. to be recycled
