Course Objective

What are machinery used in marble workshops, what are their working and maintenance principles What are the methods of avoiding occupational accidents What are the related equipment used in the workshops, and what are their functions

2   Ability of assessing cutting tools, polishing tools and other hand tools used in the workshops.
3   Ability of interpreting the maintenance of machinery and avoiding occupational accidents.

1 What is a marble workshop and how are they organized according to T.S.E.
2 What are the classical sawing machines in the workshops, and how are they used
3 How can the daily, weekly and monthly maintanence of the sawing machines can be performed What are the principles of avoiding occupational accidents related with the sawing machines
4 What are the polishing machines used in marble workshops, and how are they used
5 How can the maintanence of the polishing machines can be performed What are the principles of avoiding occupational accidents related with the polishing machines
6 What are the metal saws, carbon saws and profiling saws, and what are their working principles
7 What are abrasives used in the polishing machines, and how are they used
8 MID-TERM EXAM
9 Hand tools used in marble workshops. (Cutters, polishers, drills)
10 The principles of avoiding occupational accidents related with hand tools.
11 What are the machines used in lathing* What are their working and maintenance principles
12 What are measurement control instruments used in lathing What are their working principles
13 What are the machinery and templates used in mosaic workshops What are their working principles + application exam
14 General information on machines related with tumbling, patinato, side breaking and bush hammering applications + application exam
