Course Objective

To give the necessary technological knowledge about the realization of the ceramic production, ensuring production continuity, the development and controlling the product quality.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To outline the definition and classification of ceramic materials.
2   To describe the basic information about ceramic raw materials.
3   To explain the methods of preparing the raw material and the body.
4   To list the shaping methods.
5   To explain the drying ang firing processes.
6   To apply the necessary tests at the production processes and at the final product.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The theoretical lectures of the course will be taught in the classroom and the applications of the theoretical issues will be taught in the laboratory. The instructor will discuss the theoretical and applications of the course for better understanding.
