Course Objective

This course aims to introduce students to the fundamental concepts related to management and organization and provide them with a broad and comprehensive perspective on the development of management thought, basic and supportive functions of management and organizational issues.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To define fundamental concepts related to management and organization
2   To explain the basic skills and roles performed by managers
3   To differentiate between different approaches within the context of the historical development of management thought
4   To discuss the role of planning, organizing , directing, control and coordinating in management
5   To evaluate the role of supportive functions such as motivation, leadership, organizational communication in organizations
6   To have idea of and evaluate current management approaches and organizational issues
