Course Objective

General information about carriage law, carriage contracts, the liability of the parties in a carriage contract, the limtis of the liability of the parties in a carriage contract, the prescription time, the national and international rules regarding to different types of carriage models. The types of damages arising in a carriage contract and how to compensate them. The carrige broker's legal situation and the rights and the duties of him.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to describe the main concepts of carriage law
2   Tof be able to give the description of carriage contract and explain the main elements of a carriage contract
3   To be able to explain the name of the international conventions and the national Codes which will be applied to different models of carriage
4   To be able to explain the importance of the broker's role in carriage
5   To have information about the liabilities of the carriers
