Course Objective

This course aims to inform students about the purchasing concept and its goals, relation between purchasing and ordering, purchasing structure and organisation, purchasing variables, purchasing management practices, purchasing systems and legislations relating to purchasing management.

1   To be able to define the basic concepts and terms related to purchasing and ordering.
2   To have an idea about purchasing structure and organisation.
3   To have an idea about service description, service classification and service buying behavior.
4   To have an information about purchasing and supply management in logistics management.
5   To have an idea about industrial purchasing types and decision making process.
