Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the students to learn and explain; the fundamental concepts of macroeconomics, the factors in national income equation, determinants of total demand and total supply, main macroeconomic problems, concept of money demand, money supply and foreign exchange market and the reasons and the way of using macroeconomic policies

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to explain the basic concepts of macroeconomic theory

3   Students will be able to explain the determinants of total demand
4   Students will be able to explain the determinants of total supply
5   Students will be able to explain the changes in market balance
6   Students will be able to explain the determination of foreign exchange rate

2 Measurement of national income with real, gross and potentially perspective
3 Factors that consist of the national income equality
4 Factors affecting aggregate demand
5 Factors affecting total supply
6 Market equilibrium formation and analysis of market equilibrium change
7 Mid-Term Exam
8 Basic macroeconomic problems; inflation, unemployment, relationship between inflation and employment
9 Economic growth, internal and external debt problems
10 The demand for money and money supply
11 Exchange market and the determination of the exchange rate
12 The policies of foreign trade and exchange rate and their effects on the market
13 Monetary and fiscal policies and their impact on the market
14 Monetary and fiscal policies and their impact on the market
15 Final Exam
