Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to develop the ability to read and understand the source of the English language will allow students in the field of aviation. Written in English on the air transport sector, several articles and books examining the key issues in the sector are discussed. Examples: structure of air transportation, economic and social impacts and benefits of air transportation; elements of air transport: air-freight companies, airports, aviation services, customers, regulatory and supervisory agencies; developments in air transportation in Turkey and the world.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to use English effectively, to follow current events about civil aviation in media, to increase vocabulary related to aviation profession, to read and understand written articles about civil aviation
2   Students will be able to communicate effectively with intermediate level fluency and correct English, from ordinary to extraordinary, from passenger services to operations.
3   Students will be able to recognize the terminology of aviation English
4   Students will be able to use appropriate and correct grammar structures in accordance with the styles of style and social discourse by selecting relevant information in the texts written in an operation process at airports.
