Course Objective

This course is aimed that the student will be known the literatures about anonym photographs, family photographs, various photography projects, photography archives, city archives. Also the student will be evaluated the projects in the context of cultural memory. Then it will be possible to adapt the memory studies in their photo projects.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to describe the context of cultural memory,
2   to render photography project examples from history of photography in the context of cultural memory,
3   to create works on photography, culture and memory,
4   to evaluate the relations between cultural geography and memory on photography,
5   to create a personal photo project using with vernacular and family photos
