Course Objective

At the end of this course, students will be able to explain the important events occurring in the world from the First World War to the present day and have a general discussion about the situation of Turks in the contemporary world.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To discuss the concept knowledge of intellectual, economic and political changes that form the basis of the contemporary world
2   2. To analyse the causes and consequences of the First and Second World Wars
3   3. To be able to analyze world power balances during the Cold War era
4   4. To be able to analyze the developments in post-Cold War period
5   5. To be able to recognize the status of Turks in contemporary world
