Course Objective

The importance of technology in mathematics teaching; The use of software such as Computer Algebra Systems (CAS) and Dynamic Geometry Systems (DGS), generating and implementing interactive activities through these software; evaluation of student products.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand the importance of technology in mathematics teaching and develop a positive attitude towards the use of technology in teaching.
2   To be able to use current technologies in mathematics teaching and to be able to produce interactive sources by using these technologies.
3   To be able to choose instructional technology appropriate to subject and content, to prepare lesson plans using activities prepared with appropriate technologies.
4   To be able to plan and present a lesson through micro teaching and video based applications using appropriate technologies.
