Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce basic painting theories and concepts, contemporary painting; contemporary and creative works that develop the ability to create a visual language appropriate to their own tendencies and selected concepts by trying to perceive visual and cultural knowledge and skills that can be analyzed in terms of period, technique and content as an authentic expression tool of the picture, experimenting with different techniques and materials, .
In addition to this, students should be able to relate their work to different disciplines and to criticize interdisciplinary contemporary art practices, and to provide opportunities for students to participate in biennials, fairs, it is aimed to pay attention to taking occupational health and safety precautions in applications to be carried out within workshops. It is also aimed at students to implement exhibition methods, project process and presentation techniques and to observe visual conventions in all processes.
