Course Objective

Covers the fundamental theories of classical mechanics, and provides a firm grounding for later studies of fluid dynamics and quantum physics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have an advanced understanding of Nweton and analytical mechanics
2   Solve basic problems in rotational kinematics and dynamics, including calculation of moments of inertia and the application of conservation of angular momentum
3   Solve problems using Newton's universal law of gravity, to include deriving Kepler's laws of planetary motion.
4   Use the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations to solve problems in analytical mechanics
5   Being able to conduct result related to determinated problem.
